algae or pond scum can be grown to produce bio diesel.

Bio diesel can be used in any diesel vehicle built after 1992, this includes farm/mining equipment, cars, trucks, buses, tractor trailers etc.
Any diesel vehicle built before '92 can use bio diesel,
